Bwa ha ha ha ha… I decided that I will begin taking over the world in 2012. It’s a slow process, but in about ten to fifteen years, I’ll be a wonderful benevolent dictator. At least in the music scene.

2011 was a wild year for me – I lived out of a suitcase, released my first album with my band rubyrough, and went all sorts exotic places for my job with the Chris Norman Band. I was on the road for 286 days, ate about 317 lbs of dill while on tour in Russia, wrote 11 songs with Horst for rubyrough’s second album (due out in 2012), and FINALLY took up work on my solo debut album.

One of the hardest things about last year was not being able to book my own gigs or finish my own album because I was touring so much with Chris and the Band. After trying to balance three musical projects for a year, I decided that it’s time to move on and give my music space and time to grow.

So, even though it wasn’t an easy decision, I’ve said goodbye to Chris and the Band – delighted to have learned so much, honored to have performed with such talented musicians, and happy to have made such great friends.

I hope you’ll continue to follow my wild and crazy journey as a singer-songwriter!

Happy Holidays!

2011 has been a very busy year for me:

° rubyrough’s debut release, “REALTIME”
° writing the songs for our second CD due in 2012
° releasing my first single: “The Truth” on CDBaby, Amazon, iTunes and other online stores
° touring Germany, Russia, Norway, Ukraine, Lebanon, Kazakhstan, Switzerland and Belgium with Chris Norman

3 day hibernation extravaganza

Wow. That was crazy. I just got back from a month long tour through Germany, then directly to Kazakhstan. It was so much fun, the fans were awesome, the band rocked, and we had some wild times in the band bus and backstage. (Some new-fangled remote controlled helicopters may have had something to do with that…) If you want to see pictures, check out my facebook page!
In a few days it’ll be off to Russia for a while before heading off to the Baltic states of Latvia and Lithuania. So I’m going to hibernate for the next three days.

Wake me up when it’s time to pack!

rubyrough at acoustic garden

Horst and I had a blast at the Acoustic Garden Festival in Fürth. I was running on so little sleep — the night before, I played a gig in Moscow and had to stay up all night to get back in time for the rubyrough gig in Germany. Such is life on the road.
